We have been called the best kept secret in the north Florida area. Set in a beautiful wooded area that includes both scenic oaks and pines, the Tri-State Christian Camp was started in the spring of 1983 by the Christian Churches in the Florida panhandle, southwest Georgia, and southeast Alabama. By the spring of 1989, there were 5 cabins and a main building that would seat and feed 100 people. Later there was added a staff building with seven motel-style rooms, a laundry room, a bathroom for the RV park, and the camp office in addition to a workshop and the care-taker's house.
Today, the camp can house 96 campers in six cypress cabins in addition to the staff housing. At the main building, the Southern-style wrap-around porch is a favorite spot to sit and talk. Inside, the cypress paneling and stone fireplace creates an atmosphere of warmth and comfort for any group. Recreation facilities at the center includes a swimming pool, sand volleyball court, outdoor basketball court, softball field, and a play area for the small children. For the more adventurous, there is a low-impact challenge course consisting of eight elements.
In 2005, the trustees of the camp changed the camp's name to Tri-State Christian Camp and Retreat Center to reflect our plans and goals for the facility. Future plans include doubling the capacity of the center and adding many new features to make your group's camps and retreats even more successful and enjoyable.
